BofA to match holiday donations
Bank of America has announced a special giving initiative to help prepare for the holiday season. Bank of America’s Give A Meal program, a matching gift opportunity to assist food banks nationwide, will match donations made by the community.
For every $1 contributed, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation will match it with $2.
Donations designated to “Your Local Food Bank” will benefit Roadrunner Food Bank, a Feeding America® food bank. Donations can be made at www.feedingamerica.org/ bankofamerica.
Bank of America, Feeding America and Roadrunner Food Bank
are trying to ensure that families in New Mexico don’t have to choose between feeding their families and paying for basic necessities like rent, heat, or medical care. Bank of America says it supports hunger relief as part of its broader commitment to help advance long-term community sustainability and economic mobility for individuals and families.
Over the past seven years, Bank of America says it has helped to provide more than 225 million meals to individuals and families through Give a Meal nationwide. Roadrunner Food Bank serves as a distribution hub
and provides food to hundreds of affiliated partners around the state including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and regional food banks. Roadrunner also distributes food through its own specialized programs helping children, families, and seniors through food distribution sites at schools, low-income seniors housing sites and senior centers.
