PROMOTIONS
TERRI NIKOLE BACA has been promoted by AT&T to state president of AT&T New Mexico. Baca, who joined the company in 2015, will lead all external, government and public affairs efforts in New Mexico, focused on supporting infrastructure investment and community engagement statewide. She also previously worked as the senior vice president of public policy at The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce; as policy director for a national education nonprofit; and as a legislative counsel to U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Lujan. Baca has a bachelor’s degree in finance; and a law degree from the University of New Mexico.
USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT has promoted two staff members. They are Samantha Martinez, housing director for the state of New Mexico. Martinez will oversee the yearly funding of about $60 million for all Rural Development housing programs in rural New Mexico.
Kim Umezu Water and Environmental Program director for the state. Umezu will oversee the yearly funding of about $60 million for infrastructure and community projects for rural communities in New Mexico.
