Veterans and their guests get a special deal — admission for $1 each — at the ABQ BioPark this coming Monday, Veterans Day observed.

“The BioPark appreciates the American men and women who serve in the military, and we commemorate those who gave their lives in service,” ABQ BioPark Director Baird Fleming said in a statement. “Discounted admission is our way of giving back to those who are, or have, honorably served our country in war or peace time.”

Veterans and active military personnel and up to five accompanying family members are covered by the $1 entry fee.

The veteran or active military personnel must be in attendance and must present a valid military or veteran’s ID card.

The deal is for one side of the facility only — Zoo or Aquarium/ Botanic Garden — and does not include BioPark combo tickets.
