Vet­er­ans and their guests get a spe­cial deal — ad­mis­sion for $1 each — at the ABQ BioPark on Mon­day, the day Vet­er­ans Day will be ob­served.

Vet­er­ans and their guests get a spe­cial deal — ad­mis­sion for $1 each — at the ABQ BioPark this com­ing Mon­day, Vet­er­ans Day ob­served.

“The BioPark ap­pre­ci­ates the Amer­i­can men and women who serve in the mil­i­tary, and we com­mem­o­rate those who gave their lives in ser­vice,” ABQ BioPark Di­rec­tor Baird Flem­ing said in a state­ment. “Dis­counted ad­mis­sion is our way of giv­ing back to those who are, or have, hon­or­ably served our coun­try in war or peace time.”

Vet­er­ans and ac­tive mil­i­tary per­son­nel and up to five ac­com­pa­ny­ing fam­ily mem­bers are cov­ered by the $1 en­try fee.

The vet­eran or ac­tive mil­i­tary per­son­nel must be in at­ten­dance and must present a valid mil­i­tary or vet­eran’s ID card.

The deal is for one side of the fa­cil­ity only — Zoo or Aquar­ium/ Botanic Gar­den — and does not in­clude BioPark combo tick­ets.
