Winter visitors returning

Welcome some long-legged, long-necked, very vocal birds back to their winter habitat along the middle Rio Grande valley during the Return of the Sandhill Crane Celebration from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Open Space Visitor Center, 6500 Coors NW, between Montaño and Paseo del Norte. The family-friendly event features presentations, children’s activities, viewing scopes, crafts, workshops and more.
