‘Janet Kromer’s Shopping Notes’
Little-known publisher Janet Kromer and her staffed shaped the Duke City in ways not easily seen. Join Special Collections Library staff member Teri Reynoso as she tries to discover how an artistic woman from New York was able to self-publish an Albuquerque society magazine, Janet Kromer’s Shopping Notes, for nearly 13 years through the 1950s. The magazine is the subject of the library’s current digitization and indexing project. Reynoso’s talk is today from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the library, 423 Central NE (at Edith). Free.
