Albuquerque police on Saturday identified three people who have died in recent homicides.

Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said Juan Magdarria, 48, Victoria Garcia, 21, and Nickolas Martin, 18, were killed in the separate incidents that date back to late October.

Police say Martin was shot to death during a domestic dispute, but APD has not released any other details in the Magdarria and Garcia cases, including what led to the slayings, whether anyone is in custody or if police have any suspects.

On Oct. 29, officers found Magdarria dead inside his apartment in the 1400 block of Fourth NW after someone called 911 to report a man “not breathing.”

Police have not released his cause of death, but a search warrant affidavit filed in state District Court shows Magdarria’s death was ruled a homicide after the medical examiner discovered a bullet inside his body during the autopsy.

“It appeared the male had been shot and died due to the gunshot wound,” an officer wrote in the affidavit. No other details have been released.

Like Magdarria, Garcia’s death on Nov. 10 was not initially thought to be a homicide until the medical examiner investigated.

Officers found Garcia with “trauma” to her head in a home in the 13000 block of Nambe NE.

Someone had called police to report Garcia had shot herself, and the initial investigation ruled it a suicide.

But the medical examiner provided information to APD that turned the case into a homicide investigation, Gallegos said. No other details have been released.

Police say Martin died Nov. 12 after being shot by another man during a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend at a apartment complex on Eagle Ranch NW near Irving.

Officers spoke with the exgirlfriend and the man who allegedly shot Martin and neither was arrested.

APD spokesmen have not provided any other details.
