HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY

-

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 25): Your decisiveness will allow you to live more experiences than you did last year — with no time wasted waffling between options. A sidekick will help your momentum toward a goal. More glories this solar return include a special reunion, the upward mobility you’ve long aspired to and a key part in a family victory. Leo and Capricorn adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 42, 14, 9, 28 and 30.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): There is nothing to hurry to or from. Don’t be pushed around by the bully of space-time. A few moments will not make a difference, except in the feeling you carry around with you. Relax.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Anthropomorphizing animals has been commonplace throughout human history, though you’ll find it spiritually energizing to honor the animal-ness of animals and to regard your own animal-ness as equally worthy of respect.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21): Two emotional ingredients that pair well together are honesty and gentleness. Blunt honesty can cause trauma worse than many lies. And if you get into a position where you’re really not sure, silence is often the genius move.

CANCER (June 22-July 22): You’re back to wondering how you might improve your life. Hint: There’s no purchase involved. That tip alone should eliminate a lot of the noise around your development.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Whatever you are curious about, get deeper into it. Go ahead and tackle the big questions. There’s much good that comes of asking how things might be accomplished, especially seemingly impossible things.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): They needed a leader, and everyone pointed to you. Wonder why it’s you again? It’s because you communicate like a true leader, which is to say you listen more than you talk.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23): Emotional weather becomes sunny when a front of enthusiasm meets a jet stream of laughter. Bonus: Because you’re there when the positive feelings are flowing, the glow of sunny skies will always be associated with you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21): The plans go out the window because the intuitive whims lead you in an entirely different and more fortuitous direction. Being flexible opens you to felicity. On a side note: Someone is falling in love with your smile.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): The difference between tools and weapons is intent of usage. Circumstances arise, and there’s a judgment call to make. It could go a lot of ways. It’s your choice, really: defense, offense, creation, reparation ...

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): While surrounded by half-asleep people, you have ideas about what should happen next, what you’d like to see, make, do. Once you give your motivational jump-start, everyone will wake up.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You speak from your heart and tell the truth, which makes it easy to keep track. Those who can’t seem to manage this ease are either moving so quickly through life it’s hard to remember it all or lying.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): You may get the sense that whatever the group is doing, it’s not for you. Heed your need for independence. There’s something you’ll discover all on your own.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: As the Mercury retrograde actively antagonizes all in its path (and accidentally harmonizes at many points along the way), try to roll with the little earthquakes. The ground never stops shifting here on earth. We take this for granted, so it may come as a surprising realization that this isn’t the case for most other planets we know about. Mercury is a one-plate planet. That ground doesn’t budge. Mars hasn’t moved a plate in billions of years.

Seeing as scientists speculate that plate tectonics have driven the biodiversity of life here, we owe the vitality of the planet to the ever-shifting ground. It’s something to keep in mind with the changes coming this week. Change is life. To have to balance ourselves on a sliding, bouncing crust of ground makes us stronger, more adaptable and much more beautiful and interesting for the effort.

To make the most of the sun’s alignment with Jupiter, decide to forgive and move on from anger. Too hard? Try working it from another angle. Actively seek new lines of thought. Work on your mental game, focusing it on the glorious stuff you’re moving toward. Put more good stuff in and the bad stuff gets shoved out naturally, if gradually, and you’ll wake up one day and find that your anger is long gone.
