Classical guitarist sets mellow tone for holidays

After years of private medical practice and working for the constabula­ry in London, Seamus Scott Weatherby seeks a new challenge. He assembles a talented team to investigat­e heinous crimes throughout the kingdom, and with the gory murder of a young countess at Warwick Castle, one of Henry the VIII’s many palaces, Weatherby has his chance. A fire destroys part of the castle and takes lives, and the team discovers a boundless treasure.

Ronn Perea will sign “Elsie & Elsa,” his Albuquerqu­e historical novel, at noon Saturday, Dec. 15.

Perea visits World War II secret prisoner-of-war camps, the atomic bomb espionage, the birth of technology and more.
