Adam L. Maestas

Adam L. Maestas, age 43, from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends. Adam was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Maestas. He is survived by his mother, Maria Montoya, step-father, Pete Montoya, long-time girlfriend, Naomi Gutierrez, sister and brother-in-law, Eve and Robert Chavez and his nieces and nephew Adriana, Alyssa, Addison and Anthony Chavez. He made an impression on everyone with his sweet smile and gentle heart. Adam was very strong-willed, but never made anyone feel as though their opinions were not valued. Adam was a life-long devoted Raider’s fan and enjoyed talking sports with anyone around him. He also took great pride in his ability to make creative salsa and beef jerky and loved sharing with those around him. Adam leaves behind many family members and friends who love him and care for him and will miss him deeply.

A Rosary Service will be held on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 1502 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

A Funeral Mass Service in memory of Adam will be held immediately following the Rosary Service at 1:30 p.m., officiated by Fr. Scott Mansfield. Interment will follow at Daniels Cemetery, 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

Reception to follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Hall located behind the main church building, all are welcome."
