Chrisy Lomako Kamm, on December 2, 2018, an early, quiet Sunday morning, Chrisy passed away peacefully at the age of 53. She succumbed to cancer, a battle she fought bravely and fiercely against. Loving mother, wife, daughter and sister, Chrisy will be greatly missed. She was born on April 28, 1965 to parents, Larry and Maggie Lomako in Omaha, NE. When she was an infant, her family moved to Albuquerque, NM where she was raised along with her sister, Helen and brother, Brent. She was an excellent student and a member of the Castelle drill team at her alma mater, Del Norte High School, and she earned a presidential scholarship to the University of New Mexico. In 1988, she met her soulmate and husband, Steven Kamm. Over the span of 30 years, they raised four beautiful children; Justin, Ryan, Ashley and Kyle. As is her nature, Chrisy was a wonderful and giving mother and wife to her family. In 2010, the academic bug bit her and she returned to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. She earned her Associates degree in nursing in 2012, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNM in 2012. As she loved going to school, Chrisy then went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. She completed her education in 2016, when she earned a Post Master Certificate as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University. As a nurse practitioner at UNM Hospital, Chrisy excelled in providing excellent care for the smallest of patients and enjoyed every minute of it. She was well liked by both her colleagues and patient families, and truly found her calling in life. She also loved to play. She was the director of floating affairs at the Kamm Pool and founded the always popular Sippy Cup Club. She was fun to be around and enjoyed a good laugh. Let us not forget her love for her fur babies and all nine of the rescue lap dogs she has adopted and given a loving home to. In lieu of flowers, Chrisy would greatly appreciate contributions to Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico. www. lapdogrescue.org/ Please visit our online guestbook for Christina at www.FrenchFunerals.com
