Duke wins, but not Kentucky

DURHAM, N.C. — RJ Barrett had 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists as No. 3 Duke beat Yale 91-58 on Saturday.

Zion Williamson had 20 points for the Blue Devils (9-1), who led 41-32 at halftime but hit their first six shots after the break.

No. 5 MICHIGAN 89, SOUTH CAROLINA 78: In Ann Arbor, Mich., Jordan Poole scored 19 of his 26 points in the second half as Michigan improved to 10-0.

The Gamecocks (4-5) scored more points than any team all season against Michigan.

No. 8 AUBURN 82, DAYTON 72: In Auburn, Ala., Bryce Brown scored a career-high 34 points and made six 3-pointers to lead Auburn to the win. Jared Harper had 20 points and seven assists for the Tigers (8-1).

Brown got into a groove late in the first half, making four straight 3s over the final 2:29 to give the Tigers a 51-32 lead.

SETON HALL 84, NO. 9 KENTUCKY 83 (OT): In New York, Myles Cale hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 9.5 seconds left in overtime and Seton Hall overcame Keldon Johnson’s halfcourt heave that tied the score at the regulation buzzer.

Johnson had a chance to win it for the Wildcats (7-2), but his 3-point try with a second remaining was blocked.

No. 10 MICHIGAN STATE 63, FLORIDA 59: In Gainesvill­e, Fla., Kyle Ahrens scored Michigan State’s final seven points, including a jam with 8.7 seconds remaining.

Ahrens barely beat the shot clock with his baseline slam, giving the Spartans the final points in a game the Gators made close thanks mostly to freshman Andrew Nembhard’s late surge.

No. 11 FLORIDA STATE 79, UCONN 71: In Newark, N.J., Terance Mann scored 20 points and reserve David Nichols had 16 as Florida State (8-1) beat Connecticu­t.

MARQUETTE 74, No. 12 WISCONSIN 69 (OT): In Milwaukee, Markus Howard scored 27 points and freshman Joey Hauser added 15 as Marquette prevailed.

TULSA 47, No. 16 KANSAS STATE 46: In Tulsa, Okla., Martins Igbanu made a go-ahead jump hook with 1:51 remaining, lifting Tulsa to the win. Curran Scott had 14 points for Tulsa (7-3).

No. 17 BUFFALO 80, ST. BONAVENTUR­E 62: In Olean, N.Y., Jayvon Graves hit a careerbest five 3-pointers and scored 19 points in helping Buffalo.

No. 21 VILLANOVA 70, SAINT JOSEPH’S 58: In Villanova, Pa., Eric Paschall had 14 points as Villanova earned its 25th straight Big 5 victory.

No. 22 MISSISSIPP­I STATE 82, CLEMSON 71: In Newark, N.J., Lamar Peters had 28 points to lead MSU to its fifth win in a row.

No. 23 MARYLAND 55, LOYOLA OF CHICAGO 41: In Baltimore, Anthony Cowan scored 17 points and Maryland (8-2) overcame a sluggish start.

No. 24 NEBRASKA 94, CREIGHTON 75: In Lincoln, Neb., James Palmer had 30 points as Nebraska stopped a seven-game losing streak to Creighton.

CALIFORNIA 89, SAN DIEGO STATE 83: In Berkeley, Calif., Justice Sueing scored a seasonhigh 23 points and Cal rallied to defeat San Diego State (5-4).

Jalen McDaniels scored 20 points for the Aztecs.

ILLINOIS 77, UNLV 74: In Champaign, Ill., Andres Feliz scored 19 points as Illinois held on to beat UNLV (4-4).

ARMY 66, AIR FORCE 61: In Air Force Academy, Colo., Tommy Funk scored 14 points and Army erased a 13-point halftime deficit in a win over AFA (4-6).

COLORADO STATE 71, SAM HOUSTON STATE 65: In Fort Collins, Colo., J.D. Page scored seven of his 23 points in the final minutes to help Colorado State overtake Sam Houston State.

BOISE STATE 82, CENTRAL WASH. 62: In Boise, Idaho, RJ Williams, BSU broke a threegame losing streak with a win over D-II Central Washington.

UTAH STATE 76, WEBER

STATE 67: In Salt Lake City, Sam Merrill scored 19 points as Utah State (8-2) held off Weber State.

FRESNO STATE 92, LONG BEACH STATE 71: In Fresno, Calif., Noah Blackwell scored 22 points, and Nate Grimes scored 15 points with 14 rebounds in Fresno State’s victory.

TEXAS-PERMIAN BASIN 101, WESTERN N.M. 77: In Odessa, Texas, the Falcons (7-2) shot 60 percent from the field in beating the Mustangs (3-3).

Willie McCray led WNMU with 14 points.
