New Mexico Bowl pregame activities

Some of the activities for New Mexico Bowl participants North Texas and Utah State and fans.

Today

Elementary School Visit: Three players and one coach from both teams will speak to the kids of Isleta Elementary School and also sign autographs and pose for photos.

Team Dinner: At 5:30 p.m. at the Albuquerque Convention Center for the participating institutions. The two schools will compete in a series of games officiated by Games To Go.

Friday

Kickoff Press Conference: 10:15 a.m., Isleta Resort and Casino

Kickoff Luncheon: 11:30 a.m., Isleta Resort and Casino. The official travel parties for each participating school, as well as bowl staff, sponsor and others. Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown is the keynote speaker.

Pep Rally: Old Town Plaza, 4 p.m., open to the public. Head coaches, team captains, cheerleaders, bands and mascots will participate.

Saturday

Fan Fest at Dreamstyle Stadium: Free event beginning at 9 a.m. With entertainment, food, displays and giveaways. Two stages will feature live entertainment throughout the event, one dedicated solely to dancing performances and the other for live music. The kids’ corner, located in the Northeast section of the lot, is complete with a giant slide, jumpers and a Batman obstacle course. For the “bigger kids”, there will be a fullsized obstacle course courtesy of the Army National Guard.
