Garcia will read and sign his latest children’s book, “Grandma Lale’s Magical Adobe Oven,” from 1-3 p.m. today.

The horno has been a central part of every home in the Americas, especially Hispanic and Native American homes of New Mexico, the Land of Enchantmen­t. This is the story of 9-year-old Junie Lopez, his grandma Lale, and her magical adobe oven.

Jane Butel will discuss and sign “Jane Butel’s Quick & Easy Southweste­rn Cookbook” and “Jane Butel’s Fiesta!” from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22.
