McGill explores black women’s lives
The New Mexico Humanities Council presents an evening with Cathryn McGill at 7-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at 4115 Silver SE.
Titled “The Present Is An Egg Laid By The Past With The Future In Its Shell,” from a quote from Zora Neale Hurston, a renowned Harlem Renaissance writer, McGill will use history to discuss the present and predict the future of the black woman’s experience in America.
Admission is free; seating is limited. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
