AT OR­GANIC BOOKS: Po­ets Mer­imee Mof­fit and Georgia Santa Maria will read po­ems about love and sign their books from 3 to 5 p.m. to­day.

Tom Schel­len­bach, a gay for­mer Fran­cis­can priest, will sign copies of his me­moir, “The Book of Tom,” from 3 to 5 p.m. Satur­day, Feb. 16.

Scott Wig­ger­man and David Meis­chen will present a free monthly po­etry writ­ing work­shop at 6 p.m. Tues­day, Feb. 12, fea­tur­ing writ­ing prompts from their Wing­beats An­tholo­gies.

Book­works Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wed­nes­day, Feb. 13. The club is free and open to the pub­lic. Read­ing se­lec­tions for 2019 are to come.

Neill McKee will sign “Find­ing My­self in Bor­neo: So­journs in Sabah” at 6 p.m. Fri­day, Feb. 15. The book is an hon­est and buoy­ant chron­i­cle of a young Cana­dian man’s ad­ven­tures dur­ing 1968-70, while teach­ing se­condary school as a CUSO vol­un­teer in Sabah, Malaysia (north­ern Bor­neo). Travel with McKee on his unique jour­ney through vi­brant Asian cul­tures as he learns the craft of teach­ing, the Malay lan­guage and lo­cal cus­toms, and gains many friends in his small com­mu­nity. He climbs the high­est peak in Malaysia — Mount Kin­a­balu — has a love af­fair, and nav­i­gates Bor­neo’s back­wa­ters to make his first of many doc­u­men­tary films.

The au­thors will dis­cuss how their books re­late to grief or loss.
