Firefighters rescue man stuck in tree

LAS CRUCES — A Las Cruces man had to be rescued by firefighters last week after he was trimming a tall palm tree and one of the branches pinned him.

Las Cruces Fire Department first arrived with an engine truck but later returned to the scene around noon with an aerial ladder firetruck that can extend up to 100 feet.

The man did not require any medical treatment or hospital transportation.
