What do you consider to be the top issue or concern facing New Mexico today? Why? The creation of high wage, long-term jobs is a top issue. Attraction of high-wage positions and their firms will promote a strong economy, attract other high-paying firms, and showcase New Mexico as the place to do business.
What do you consider to be the top accomplishment in the past 5 years in our state? Why? The statewide promotion and adoption of economic development tools like JTIP and LEDA is a top accomplishment. These tools and other economic incentives have enabled cities and counties across the state to attract new businesses and invigorate them with jobs, new money, ideas and positive energy.
What has inspired you or been the highlight of your Leadership New Mexico experience so far? I’m inspired by the diverse representation of people in our LNM class who come from a broad assortment of companies, backgrounds, ethnicity, communities, ages and interests. The ideas and opinions exchanged are engaging and thought-provoking.
