How do you define “leadership”? For me, good leadership includes qualities such as being results-oriented, having vision, delegating well, being good at dealing with conflict, being trusted, making good decisions and being a great communicator.

What do you consider to be the top issue or concern facing New Mexico today? For New Mexico, child welfare and education are at the top of my list. I feel if these two links in the chain are strong, people in general will have a much greater chance of living a happy and productive life.

What do you consider to be the top accomplishment in the past 5 years in our

state? Why? The passage of Senate Bill 53 in 2017, which is helping to connect New Mexicans in every corner of the state to high speed internet. Our state has a large digital divide, which has left our rural and tribal communities out of web-based opportunities.
