District has the wrong priorities

-

(SOME) APS Board (members) may be surprised by the outcome of the bond election. If that is so, it affirms how out of touch they are. Everyone who’s driven past the APS monument to strange planning and distorted priorities on the southwest corner of Louisiana and Comanche sent a message with their vote to the APS Board. The answer to APS educational needs is not new building constructions, though it does appear that construction industry advocates have had attentive ears on the APS Board over many years. Somehow a mindset that school structures are consumable items that can’t be functionally viable over many decades is present in the APS Board. What shortsighted foolishness, probably consistent with the APS Board’s missteps selecting superintendents. Life goes on, but one would hope some learning would inform the APS Board’s behavior.
