Builders group plans new training center

Associated Builders and Contractors next week will break ground on a new 13,000-square-foot training center in Albuquerque.

The new center, behind the organization’s existing training facility on Broadway between Menaul and Candelaria, will double the footprint. It will house five labs for trade instruction and six classroom and community meeting spaces.

ABC has more than 160 apprentices in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, sheetmetal, masonry, and craft laborer trades around the state.
