Non-lethal force should be an option

RE: “BCSO: Woman fatally shot by deputies armed with knife”

I have no idea what actually occurred in this situation. However, I would think that BCSO should not only make it a policy, but also train its officers to shoot someone in the legs in a situation such as this.

As well, there are law enforcement agencies that deploy a net to take down someone in a situation such as this one appears to have been.

Does it really take three people intentionally using lethal force to stop one person brandishing a knife? ASHER ZELIG Rio Rancho
