santa fe “Henry the Fourth, Part One,” as a sequel to the play Richard 2, the noblemen who helped Bolingbrok­e become Henry 4 are now disgruntle­d and feeling unapprecia­ted, so they plot to put Mortimer on the throne (Richard had appointed Mortimer as his heir). Prince Hal (the future Henry 5) roisters in the taverns, while his father compares him to another Henry, Henry Percy, known as Hotspur.
