Sandia Resort & Casino offers a chance to ‘End the Summer in Italy’
You don’t have to have to hit the greens to get a hole in one this month at Sandia Resort & Casino.
Play “Hole in One Hot Seats” on Fridays and Saturdays in August for a chance to win up to $1,000 in free play. Drawings will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday, Aug. 17, Aug. 23 and 24, and Aug. 30 and 31. Three winners will be selected between 6 and 9 p.m. on each promotion date.
Things are heating up with “Summertime Slot Tournament Hot Seats.” Drawings will be held every 30 minutes from 12:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Slot session times are every 30 minutes from 12:45 to 5:15 p.m. Play with your Peak Rewards card and win a set into the slot tournament. Keep playing with your Peak Rewards car and you can play in all 10 sessions. Session winners can win up to $150 in slot free play, and overall winners can win up to $1,000 cash.
Win prizes just by being part of the “Back 9 Swipe & Win” from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, and Aug. 25. Earn five base slot points playing your preferred slot machine and receive a prize including point multipliers, Peak Points or slot free play. Swipe your Peak Rewards card at any promotional kiosk to be eligible.
Bingo players have a chance to “End the Summer in Italy” when they play the promotion of the same name in the Bingo Room during the evening session on Aug. 25. Players can win a trip to Italy valued at $5,000. Saturdays this month are for “Even to Odd Free Slot Play” during the matinee and evening sessions in the Bingo Room. Purchase a Christmas or Whole Enchilada electronic package and receive one drawing ticket per purchase. Drawing winners will then choose the correct even or odd number to increase their free slot prize. Players can win up to $500 in slot free play with their correct picks.
The Bingo Room is offering the “Too Hot Summer Bonus” every Monday and Tuesday this August. Buy a Red or Green Enchilada package and receive a
halftime package at no charge. Purchase a Christmas or Whole Enchilada package and receive a Red Enchilada package at no charge. Enjoy back-to-school discounts this month. Head over to the poker room for the Four Corners Championship on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 and 2. The Saturday Day 1A and Sunday Day 1B begin at noon. Monday Finales also start at noon. There is a $540 buy-in and a $60 entry fee with a $30 add-on for 10,000 in chips. Four Corners Qualifiers will be held at 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Aug. 28. There is a $60 buy-in and a $10 entry fee. One $600 seat will be awarded for every 10 players. It is the players’ responsibility to ensure that they are clocked in. Players must be Peak Rewards members to participate in poker room promotions.
Sandia recently released a statement saying an expansion is on the horizon. “Details are being finalized for the amenities,which will include an expansion of dining, entertainment and gaming options, as well as a timeline for construction and completion,” according to the news release.
For now enjoy Sandia’s entertainment lineup at its newly renovated amphitheater. On Sept. 6, sway to the sounds of The Mavericks. They combine country, Tex-Mex, rockabilly and more in their music. Los Lobos will open the show. The band, from East Los Angeles, intertwines rock, zydeco, R&B, blues, cumbia and boleros and more into its songs. Classic rocker Peter Frampton is calling it quits, at least when it comes to touring. Don’t miss his final tour, which makes a stop at Sandia on Sept. 24. Drummer Jason Bonham will open the show. Country superstars Rascal Flatts will close out the entertainment season at the amphitheater on Oct. 4.
