21 nonprofits awarded $100,000 in PNM grants
PNM Foundation says money will be used to complete energy use projects
The PNM Resources Foundation has awarded “reduce your use” grants totaling $100,000 to 21 New Mexico nonprofits that the company says will allow the organizations to spend less on electric bills and more on providing essential services to the community.
The money is aimed at completing projects that reduce energy use and lower electric bills, including efficient lighting, solar panel installations, updating heating and cooling systems, window coverings, ceiling fans, energy saving appliances, and more, the foundation said in a news release.
“PNM is committed to working with our customers to find ways they can save energy,” said Laurie Roach, PNM Resources Foundation director, in a statement. “Reduce Your Use Grants specifically help nonprofit organizations make their energy saving ideas a reality.” The 2019 nonprofit grant winners are:
