The ‘swamp’ trying to destroy president

-

THE UNITED STATES government is not supposed to be a popularity contest among preschoolers.

When (Donald) Trump was running for president, he said he would “drain the swamp.” Before he took office, the swamp was trying to destroy him. The “swamp” is people working for the government. Some are elected. Some are not. Some belong to both political parties.

They have been there for a while and think they own the place. They think they own their “split” of the money you and I work for and pay as taxes, and the control over us that comes with their position.

In 2016, Democrats paid $12 million for phony evidence of something that never happened in the “Russia Hoax.” They harassed, insulted and attacked a sitting president with it for three years. When it was no longer possible to conceal that it was a lie, they jumped on this Ukraine thing.

Republican leaders said President Trump did nothing wrong, and the Democrats know it. The Department of Justice said Trump did not violate any law. That did not slow the Democrats down.

(U.S. Rep. Nancy) Pelosi controls this impeachment push. (U.S. Rep.) Adam Schiff, her right-hand man, is one of the most dishonest politicians in recent history. That figures.

Impeachment is supposed to be a last resort if a president did something severely illegal. Impeachment hearings of the past have always been out in the open with both sides taking part, and the president able to defend himself and confront his accusers.

... Leaking is dishonest because these are people not authorized to publicly share this information.

I believe Trump has a great deal of courage, is smart and loves his country. He is trying to eliminate rot and corruption that threatens our democracy. For that, the “swamp” insults him nonstop and is trying to destroy him.
