Come to Española Humane to meet Tigger

the Tiger who, like his namesake, says, “Life is not about how fast you run or how high you climb, but how well you bounce.” That is also true for this Tigger, an adorable puppy. He has bounced back with the best of them. This young shepherd mix was likely hit by a car, which ruptured his abdominal wall, and pushed his organs and intestines up into his lung cavity. The shelter’s medical team did major emergency surgery to put things back where they’re supposed to go, stitched the abdominal wall back together, and now this miracle boy is ready for a new adventure. He’s starting to gently play and will need a bit more quiet time, but soon enough he will be bouncy, trouncy, flouncy and pouncy — fun, fun, fun Tigger.

His adoption fee is $50, which includes neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccines and six months of heartworm prevention.

Tadpole found his way to our shelter with a broken, dangling front leg. We aren’t sure what happened to him, we just knew he needed our help quickly because he had lost a lot of blood. Our veterinary team amputated the leg and treated him for infection, and now this tripawd is doing great! Despite his rough start in life, Tadpole is an absolute lovebug; the adoption fee for this friendly and handsome year-old neutered, microchipped and vaccinated male kitty is waived.

These two and many others may be adopted daily from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at Española Humane, 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. 505-753-8662. To see more adoptable pets, log on to www. espanolahumane.org or www.petango.com.
