Proposed soccer stadium just another money grab

-

IT’S PRETTY DISGUSTING watching our local “representatives” rushing to Santa Fe to try and grab even more money out of us, this time to pay for a multi-million dollar soccer stadium that would be used for the New Mexico United’s 17-game season and which should be paid for by (the team if it wants) a dedicated stadium.

Not a hint of a tax cut from either Democrats — who never want tax cuts — or Republicans — who used to stand for tax cuts — coming out of the oil and gas windfall, partially added to by New Mexico drivers. At the end of the day, other than filling bureaucratic coffers, this will be yet another pot of money flushed down the Rio Grande that had all the potential to do good for New Mexico.

Seems like soccer stadium advocates, the Democrat spendthrifts on the Albuquerque City Council, and our leftist Bernalillo County Commission can’t suck enough out of us.
