No. 2 Gonzaga cruises past UNC

Pack moves up to 9th on career scoring list in NMSU’s loss

SPOKANE, Wash. — Corey Kispert scored 26 points, Filip Petrusev added 20 and No. 2 Gonzaga rolled past North Carolina (12-1) 94-81 on Wednesday night, handing the Tar Heels (6-5) their fourth straight loss.

No. 3 LOUISVILLE 70, MIAMI OF OHIO 46: In Louisville, Ky., Jordan Nwora scored 20 points and Louisville (11-1) pulled away with a 17-0 run to beat Miami of Ohio (5-6). No. 9

VIRGINIA 56, STONY BROOK 44: In Charlottes­ville, Va., Kihei Clark scored 14 points and Jay Huff had eight of his 12 during a second-half run for Virginia (9-1) in a win over Stony Brook (7-6).

No. 10 BAYLOR 91, UT MARTIN 63: In Waco, Texas, Jared Butler and Davion Mitchell each scored 19 points to lead Baylor (9-1) past UT Martin (3-7). No. 15

MICHIGAN STATE 77, NORTHWESTE­RN 72: In Evanston, Ill., Cassius Winston scored 21 points and Xavier Tillman had 15 points and 10 rebounds, helping Michigan State (8-3, 2-0 Big Ten) beat Northweste­rn (5-5, 0-2).

No. 20 SAN DIEGO STATE 92, SAN DIEGO CHRISTIAN

48: In San Diego, Yanni Wetzell scored 17 points and San Diego State (11-0) beat NAIA San Diego Christian, which considered this an exhibition game.

CINCINNATI 78, No. 21 TENNESSEE 66: In Cincinnati, Trevon Scott scored 15 points and Cincinnati (7-4) knocked off Tennessee (7-3).

UTAH VALLEY 69, WYOMING 67: In Laramie, Wyo., Isaiah White came off the bench to score 19 points, including a layup with seven seconds left to lift Utah Valley (5-8) to a win over Wyoming (3-9).

UTAH STATE 76, SOUTH FLORIDA 74 (OT): In Houston, Sam Merrill had 21 points and Justin Bean made the game-winning bucket at the end of overtime as Utah State (11-2) defeated South Florida (6-5) in overtime.

NEVADA 91, TEXAS SOUTHERN 73: In Reno, Nev., Lindsey Drew and Jalen Harris each scored 18 points as Nevada (7-4) rolled past Texas Southern (3-6).

SANTA CLARA 89, SAN JOSE STATE 84: In Santa Clara, Calif., Guglielmo Caruso scored 25 points as Santa Clara (11-2) held on to beat San Jose State (3-9).

PACIFIC 74, UNLV 66: In Las Vegas, Nev., Justin Moore scored 22 points and Pacific (11-3) beat UNLV (4-8).

NEW MEXICO STATE 65, ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF

40: In Las Cruces, Ivan Aurrecoech­ea had 19 points and nine rebounds and Jabari Rice added 17 points as New Mexico State routed Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-9). Trevelin Queen added 12 points and six rebounds for the Aggies (7-6).

ARIZONA STATE 70, NEW MEXICO STATE 47: In Las Cruces, Gia Pack moved into ninth on the New Mexico State all-time scoring list but the Aggies (3-9) dropped a contest to Arizona State (9-2). Pack now sits at 1,482 points after scoring 20 on 8-17 shooting from the field.

No. 1 STANFORD 71, OHIO STATE 52: In Stanford, Calif., Haley Jones had 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to help Stanford (9-0) beat Ohio State (6-4).

No. 5 SOUTH CAROLINA 85, PURDUE 49: In Columbia, S.C., Destanni Henderson scored 15 points and South Carolina (10-1) used a strong defensive effort to rout Purdue (7-3).

No.7 BAYLOR 111, ARKANSAS STATE 43: In Waco, Texas, Juicy Landrum set an NCAA record by making 14 3-pointers for all of her career-high 42 points, leading Baylor (9-1) to a victory over Arkansas State (3-7).

No. 8 FLORIDA STATE 70, NORTH FLORIDA 41: In Tallahasse­e, Fla., freshman forward River Baldwin scored a season-best 19 points, Kiah Gillespie added 13 points and eight rebounds and Florida State (11-0) routed North Florida (5-6).
