Fishing for trout at TINGLEY BEACH was good using garlic-scented PowerBait, white PowerBait worms and homemade dough bait. At the ALBUQUERQUE-AREA DRAINS, fishing for trout was fair to good using spinners and salmon eggs. Monday morning flows on the CHAMA RIVER below El Vado and Abiquiu were 102 cfs and 76.7 cfs, respectively. Fishing for brown trout below El Vado Lake was fair to good using nightcrawlers and flies. Streamflow on the SAN JUAN RIVER Monday morning was 462 cfs. Dry fly fishing for trout in the “quality waters” section was fair to good using small midge and midge cluster patterns. Fishing for trout in the “quality waters” was good using red midge larva patterns, pupa patterns and egg patterns. Fishing for trout in the “bait waters” was fair to good using flies and salmon eggs. Water clarity was about one-foot visibility. Water flow on the ANIMAS RIVER below Aztec Monday morning was 206 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
