SPORTS SPEAK UP!
LOOKS LIKE Alex Bregman still cannot accept he and the Astros cheated. Looking for a new sports agent will not make the cheating issue go away. Alex, how about a real apology, then go out of the field and prove you can play baseball with out sign stealing!

CONGRATULATIONS to coach Castillo on an amazing career. Letting you down in the ‘05 championship haunts me to this day, and the sight of burnt orange still makes me ill. GO Bears!

WITHOUT A vaccine developed yet for the Coronavirus and all types of sports getting ready to reopen, there will obviously be athletes who test positive for COVID-19. In that case, there will be some mild symptoms but also severe illness and probably death. So the question becomes, is the sporting world prepared to continue on no matter the consequences or will everything shut down again as when an NBA player tested positive for the virus back in March?

THE UNM FOOTBALL staff should be used to playing games without fans at this point. It’s the players I feel sorry for. What will Nuñez and Stokes try to do to keep that sinking program afloat when they couldn’t drive up attendance at a time when we could sit less than six feet apart?

A LOCAL sports talk radio show has become the Aggie radio network. Interviews with NMSU administrators, coaches and players are abundant. “Let the beatings continue,” said one email from an Aggie fan regarding the UNM/NMSU rivalry. Laughable. This past season, UNM defeated NMSU in football. The partyin’ Lobo men’s basketball team humbled the WAC champion Aggies in Las Cruces and Albuquerque. The UNM women’s basketball team also rocked NMSU in record setting fashion at the Pit. Lobos sweep. As the mega-hit titled song celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020 states: “Point Me in the Direction of Albuquerque.”
