Business nonprofit opens Hobbs location

WESST, a small business development nonprofit, has opened a new location in Hobbs, according to a news release from the organization.

“Southeastern New Mexico is filled with potential and existing resilient businesses, and through WESST, we will be able to facilitate continued real growth,” said Mara Salcido, WESST Hobbs business consultant and trainer.

WESST works with entrepreneurs wanting to start a new business or existing business owners looking for extra support, according to the organization’s website. The nonprofit offers training, individual consulting and loans for women, low-income individuals and minority individuals.

The Hobbs office is located at 113 N. Shipp St. inside of the Hobbs Hispano Chamber of Commerce.
