■ President Trump was shut out of social media when tech executives determined that the president was deploying social media to incite insurrection. The first platform to ban Trump was Twitter. This is the first time a sitting president has been banned from Twitter going back to 1812.

■ Johnson and Johnson offered a vaccine to the FDA that doesn’t need freezing as faster vaccine distribution became critical. How about training all the Amazon delivery drivers to give the vaccine shots? The entire population will be inoculated by Friday, Wednesday if you’ve got Prime.

■ Local Los Angeles TV stations went to Defcon Four news coverage of the COVID epidemic last weekend with three straight days of record deaths. Fresh thinking is needed. Gov. Gavin Newsom should forget about ordering the shutdowns and treat COVID like it’s a business, and it’ll leave the state.
