FBI hunting for Capitol breach perpetrators

-

The FBI is asking for help identifying those who “are actively instigating violence in Washington, D.C.” or who were involved in the storming of the Capitol building last week.

A mob of supporters of President Donald Trump broke into the building on Jan. 6, breaking windows and disrupting the counting of electoral votes by state lawmakers. A police officer was killed, a woman was shot by police and three people died of unspecified medical emergencies.

“We have deployed our full investigative resources and are working closely with our federal, state, and local partners to aggressively pursue those involved in criminal activity during the events of January 6,” a news release states. “If you have witnessed unlawful violent actions, or have information about the cases in https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/capitol-violence, we urge you to submit any information, photos, or videos that could be relevant by using fbi.gov/USCapitol.”

Those with information can also call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
