FATALE
★1/2
Thriller, R, 102 minutes, 2021
The detective (Hilary Swank) investigating a break-in at the home of a married sports agent (Michael Ealy) turns out to be the unhinged stalker he slept with in Las Vegas. It’s just the latest and far from the greatest entry in the female stalker genre — not inventive enough to make its own mark, nor ridiculous enough to be a Wine Night Guilty Pleasure Movie.

While this worshipful documentary about the life of Audrey Hepburn breaks no new ground, it serves as a lovely and valuable reminder of her unique star power and grace in front of the camera — and her kindness and tireless work for the less fortunate.

Comedy, PG-13, 95 minutes, 2020
To understand the humor in this tonedeaf ensemble comedy, consider the punch line when a caterer (Jeremy Irons) goes on a blind date with a photographer (Diane Keaton): She’s ACTUALLY BLIND. And she stumbles around in a grotesquely slapstick manner. So crudely filmed, so poorly written, so stunningly unfunny.
