Franklin Walter Rupich
Frank W. Rupich, 84 of Albuquerque, NM, formally of Wheeling, West Virgina, went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Vincent, his parents, Walter and Teresa Rupich, and his sister, Patricia Pickering. He is survived by his wife Nadine, his daughter, Stephanie and Richard Geyer, and his grandchildren, Christian Frank and Shelbee Michaella, his sister, Jackie Cottrell, his nephews, Donald Yaquinta and Roger Cottrell, and his niece, Michelle Loren Yaquinta.
Frank was born on January 20, 1936 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He attended Warwood High School and graduated in 1953. Frank was the quarterback for the Warwood High Football team and played baseball for the Warwood Redbirds. After graduation, Frank joined the United States Army
in 1957. During the Army, he played football in Orléans, France. He received a Good Conduct Medal while serving. Upon leaving the U.S. Army, Frank went to work for the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation and was transferred to Lubbock, Texas, where he met his wife. After, parting ways with Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Frank decided to form his own company, Building Product Sales. Frank was offered a position with American Gypsum, where he worked until he retired.
Celebration of Life for Frank will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Mountain Valley Church, 5 Dinkle Rd. Edgewood, NM, 87015 at 10:00 am. Food will be provided. Following the service, will be a brief military burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 2:15 pm.
