2020 Lynne Cavanaugh of Albuquerqu­e, NM, formerly of Northville, Michigan passed away at the age of 73 from Alzheimer’s with her family at her side. She was born in Salina, Kansas to Elden and Marjorie Miller. She graduated from Kansas State University and later from Michigan State University earning her Masters in Elementary Education. She retired from Northville Public schools as a first-grade teacher at Winchester Elementary. Lynne had a passion for teaching her first-graders while wearing seasonal/ holiday themed socks and Birckensto­cks. Upon retirement she moved to Albuquerqu­e and learned how garden in the high desert, took guitar lessons and played women’s senior basketball with the Canyon Nets and traveled to the Senior Olympics. She spent countless hours teaching her grandchild­ren about fun and learning. She had a love for all animals, especially her cats and dog. She will be remembered as a beautiful, compassion­ate person whose smile lit up a room. Her heart was filled with kindness. She is dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Pam (Brian) Mohr, of Silvis, IL, Karen Farley of Albuquerqu­e, her grandchild­ren Collin and Gavin Farley, Hannah Mohr, her sister Jean Liesmann and her former husband Tom Cavanaugh.
