William Arthur Harrison

-

It is with a very heavy heart, I say goodbye to my dad, Bill Harrison, a.k.a. Dr. William Harrison. He left us January 4, 2021 after fighting, valiantly, against Covid. For those of you that knew him you know he was the most wonderful, caring man in both his personal life and as a physician and veterinarian. When he was four, he was on a radio program and they asked him what he wanted to do when he grew up and he said he wanted to patch people up, he never stopped doing that. He was a veterinarian, went back to medical school and became an OB/GYN and delivered thousands of babies with such a kind spirit. In my eyes, he was a true Renaissance man. Dad could deliver a baby or help a dog or cat in need. He had my husband, Todd, helping him build a barn and then they’d go riding dirt bikes or he’d be up skiing with us on the mountain. He could fly a private plane and loved to work on cars. He often came across terrible accidents on the wide-open roads in New Mexico and always stopped to help. He loved my mom, Virginia, his wife of 54 years and absolutely treasured his grandkids Mason, Connor, and Brianna. He was the best father to Billy and me and was a second father to Todd. We are devastated by his loss. Rest in peace My Father. I know you are up there celebrating a life well lived with your brother, sister and the rest of your dearly missed family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to:

Boys and Girls Club of the Brazos Valley, PO Box 524, Bryan, Tx 77806-0525, please put Honoring William Harrison in the Memo line.

Dad’s sister in law, my aunt, Belle Bramhall is raising money for the boys and girls club in Bryan College Station Texas. He loved her dearly and would be so happy to help in this wonderful cause.

Dad will be interred at the South Florida National Cemetary in Lake Worth on Monday, January, 18th. As Covid is only allowing immediate family to be present, we ask that you send your prayers at 11:00 AM.
