A letter to Presidentelect Biden

-

If I could send a letter to President-elect Biden I would send the following:

You campaigned to bring the country together and that you would represent all of the U.S. citizens no matter what party. Therefore, I am asking you to ask all members of Congress and the Senate to stop the push for impeachment and the condemnation and censorship of the 73 million people who voted for President Trump.

The anger and hatred displayed by the people we elected are terrible. Yes, the rioters on Jan. 6 and those in Seattle and Portland committed crimes and must be held accountable. This is a situation that has been aggravated by both sides and has been stirring for at least the last 20 years.

What is being done to censor people from expressing their opinions and to prevent them from earning a living or shunning them is not what our country was founded on. These are not the action of a country based on beliefs that all men are created by God and given inalienable rights by the Creator. It doesn’t matter what religion one belongs to, everyone wants to be treated with respect and dignity and to treat each other like they want to be treated.

Right now our elected officials should be taking the high road and should encourage all to come together in unity and brotherhood to save our republic. I beg you as our president-elect to bring unity and peace to our Republic.
