Vaccine distribution should be wider
IN ORDER TO get as many people as possible vaccinated as quickly as possible, why can’t the government ship the vaccine to every medical school in the country and have second- or third-year medical students visit senior homes and administer doses to the seniors? They could also set up centers in the school gymnasiums to inoculate people starting at ages 75 and up and work their way down to younger ages.
Also ship the vaccine to every hospital in the country and ask retired nurses to volunteer their time to give shots to people. Medical groups like Lovelace and Presbyterian could administer shots to each age group as called in by the government. This would certainly speed up the number of people being vaccinated and help prevent more unnecessary deaths. JACK ARNOLD
