Concerns about second dose

-

I BELIEVE IN the vaccines and will be sure to get mine when they become available to me, but with two vaccines required I’m concerned about the following:

I will get a first vaccine by Moderna because it’s what is here and available now, but when I get the second part of the vaccine, only the dose from Pfizer will be available. So how compatible are the two different doses and will it be effective if mixed?

2. I get a first shot from Moderna and I’m not given documentation to show what I received, only told, so being elder I forget and when I go to get the second part, I get the Pfizer. Again, will this be effective or destructive for me? Are we assuming the correlating vaccines will be distributed? I haven’t heard anything in the news about the follow-up of the different available vaccines and wonder how much thought has gone into the coordination of first and second same medication distribution. I hope the Journal reporters will ask these questions and report this in the news because we all know that the best laid plans many times forget the obvious! LEAH FILZOW-PEREZ
