RRHS football coach Pannoni wins national award from NFHS

New Rio Rancho High football coach Gerry Pannoni has been chosen as the 2019-20, 11-player national coach of the year by the National Federation of State High School Associations, or NFHS.

Before he took the Rams’ job early last February, Pannoni, 63, coached South County High, in Virginia’s largest classification (6A), to an undefeated state title in the fall of 2019.
