Benny Maestas

Benny Maestas, born December 10, 1931, died on January 13, 2021.

He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After he was discharged, he moved to Santa Fe where he lived most of his life with his wife of nearly 50 years, Dolores. He was very active in the St.Francis Cathedral parish as a lector for over 40 years, St. Vincent de Paul Society and attended the hour of adoration for decades. He was kind to everyone he knew and always went out of his way to help both friends and strangers in any way he could. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his wife Dolores and son Tommy. He is survived by his daughters Anna (John) Montoya and Rebecca (James) Montoya and his son Tomas BakerMaestas. He is also survived by his grand daughters Nicole (Brandon) Jones and Jennie (Rob) Lury and his grandsons Mark (Angela) Montoya, James (Jasmine) Montoya and Michael (Constance) Montoya, greatgrandchildren Ariana (Mike), Anika, Derek, Dominic, David, Luna, Solese, Aurora and Lena and great-great grandson Kyrie, his sister Gloria Sedillo and special companion Evelyn Pacheco.
