N.M. Gould’s turkey permit is up for raffle
Winner also gets two spring permits for Merriam’s, Rio Grande turkey season
Let’s talk turkey. The New Mexico Department of Game & Fish and the New Mexico chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation are raffling a permit to hunt a Gould’s turkey.
The winner will receive a permit to hunt one Gould’s gobbler and, as a bonus, receive two additional spring permits for Merriam’s or Rio Grande gobblers in New Mexico.
Hunting the Gould’s turkey will take place on public land in southwestern New Mexico.
The season dates are April 15 to May 10. Transportation and accommodations are not provided.
Tickets are $20 per entry and must be purchased on or before March 13. The winner will be drawn on March 15. The permit may be used by the winner, or is transferable and can be donated, gifted, sold or bartered.
Proceeds from the enhancement hunt will be used for the Gould’s turkey management program in New Mexico.
