■ Dr. Anthony Fauci spoke at the White House on Thursday to vouch for the science that allowed him to change his mind three times last year on virus protocols. I have no idea what’s going on either. Friday, I pulled into a California vehicle emissions testing station and asked them to test me for COVID.

■ The National Football League announced this year’s Super Bowl will have a woman referee working the game for the first time in history. Watch out for flying flags. In my experience, I’ve found if there is one thing that women are REALLY good at, it’s pointing out mistakes made by men.

■ Joe Biden’s inaugural address Wednesday drew raves from the press, but the popular reaction was a big yawn. He doesn’t enter office riding a wave of popularity. The only way they were able to get more than 1,000 people to attend Biden’s inauguration was to call in the National Guard.
