LAS CRUCES — After multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the New Mexico State women’s basketball Tier One group, the Aggies announced the continuation of a pause on team activity Saturday.

Due to the continued pause, New Mexico State’s WAC series at UT Rio Grande Valley scheduled for Jan. 29 and 30 in Edinburg, Texas, has been canceled. Those two games were originally scheduled for this weekend before the COVID pause forced a rescheduling.

All Tier One individuals have received three COVID-19 tests per week since the beginning of November, New Mexico State said in a statement.

New Mexico State is 3-6 overall, 1-1 in the WAC after splitting two games with Grand Canyon in Phoenix.
