Michael Moore, “Tomato Mike”, age 66, a resident of Bosque, NM, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, in his home. Tomato Mike was born on April 15,

1954 in Highland Park, Michigan. Later in the 70’s, Michael moved to Bosque, NM, started growing his tomatoes and that’s when he got his nickname, “Tomato Mike”. He retired after 21 years from the Central New Mexico Correction­al facility in 2008. Tomato Mike was also a well-known vendor, selling his tomatoes with Belen Farmers Market and Robinson Park Farmers Market in Albuquerqu­e. He enjoyed life and loved riding his Harley motorcycle­s. Budweiser was his favorite and he’d always say, “It’s another day in paradise.” Michael is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary G. Moore; daughter, Monica; grandson, Hassan Garley-Moore; mother, Jean Mabry and father, Warren Moore; sisters, Sandy Kretsch and Debbie Moore; brother, Gary Moore and many loving nieces and nephews. A private viewing for Tomato Mike took place on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Romero Funeral Home. No services are scheduled at this time.
