This targeting is a slippery slope, folks

-

I WISH I could say I was shocked when I saw the Journal article questioning if Mark Ronchetti should be allowed to return to a job as a weatherman since he supported Trump. However, behavior such as this has become all to common.

The attack on Ronchetti brings to mind the “First They Came...” poem by Martin Niemoller, which ends with the famous line “then they came for me — and there no one was left to speak for me.”

I would like to speak out for Mark and at the same time for New Mexico.

The charges brought against Mark are absurd and doubly so considering those bringing them. He, like all of us, has a right to free speech and equality under the law.

The citizens of our great state should be wary of this slippery slope toward the chasm of fascism and those that promote it. MARK RANEY
