Crash on Alameda near Coors kills 1

The Albuquerque Police Department says one person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on Sunday.

Alameda was shut down in both directions Sunday evening east of Coors, APD spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said in a news release around 5 p.m. Drivers were asked to avoid the area for the next several hours.

Gallegos did not immediately provide additional information on the wreck.
