Highways are long, where is the issue on NM 64?

-

RE: NM roads reflect poorly on politicians.

In the Dec. 23 edition, Brenda Rastelli writes of very poor road conditions on Highway 64 but doesn’t say where. Highway 64 is a U.S. highway that extends several hundred miles along northern New Mexico, from the Arizona border west of Farmington to the Oklahoma border east of Clayton. When times were better I would travel Highway 64 between Bloomfield and Tierra Amarilla and found it in good condition along this stretch of over 100 miles.

I do agree that there are roads in our state in much need of repair, but if someone is going to go as far as writing into the press about them, please pinpoint or at least narrow down the location. I am writing as I do plan to drive this highway again when times get better and would much like to know where this poor road condition exists. Thank you.
