Santa Fe police target face mask violations
SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Police Department said Wednesday that it is ramping up enforcement of the state public health order and Santa Fe city ordinance by targeting businesses and areas with frequent face-covering violations.
According to a news release, “Operation for Your Health and Safety” begins Feb. 1 and spans the entire month.
The goal of the operation is to help protect the health and safety of Santa Fe residents and visitors by cracking down on businesses and areas with repeat violations of the state and city mandate to wear a face covering in public.
SFPD is encouraging anyone who sees a face covering violation to call non-emergency dispatch at 505-4283710.
